Knowing what is moving towards you ahead of time can be a real advantage! That advantage can be provided by radar. A wonderful technology that has been around for awhile and has lots of real world uses as well as a foundational military use, radar works a bit like magic. You look at a screen on your desk or your dash, and little blips of color indicate oncoming stuff. Storms, planes, even fish can be found using radar (or some form of it). So let's take the concept and get a little abstract. Suppose you had a type of radar that could enlighten you to things that were coming in your life. This radar would point out trends in your culture that you might want to avoid. It would also point out trends in your culture that you should pursue! This radar would identify choice opportunities for spiritual growth that lay just around the bend. This radar could even make you aware of resources, sweet resources! Sounds like a pretty cool technology...well guess what. The friendly people at Crossroads Church are bringing you just such a technology.
We are launching a monthly newsletter! The newsletter is going to be that radar that will inform you of what is coming up in the life of our church. It will also be a reference for resources that you can use in your efforts to follow Jesus and connect Him to others. Just like real radar, this "radar" can give you an advantage. As you keep up and participate in the goings on at your church, you will find a boost in your desire to serve Jesus and make Him known.
